Performs a variety of duties relating to the provision of meals to patients and customers and nourishments to patients.
Prepares and sets up salad bar and deli area. Serves deli sandwiches. Participates in cafeteria serving line by preparing for opening, serving food, making sandwiches, and cleaning area. Participates in opening and closing responsibilities. Reviews menu and assembles food and supplies needed for salad and cold food preparation. Performs cashier duties as assigned. Addresses any overages or shortages within established guidelines. Prepares and delivers patient meals/trays, late trays and between meal nourishments via push carts or food trucks. Participates in role in fire safety, quality management, food safety, disaster plan, accident prevention and reporting and infection control. Performs general routine and non-routine cleaning duties. Ensures that equipment and utensils used are inspected and maintained for cleanliness and proper operation. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner .
Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:Previous food service and cash handling experience preferred.
