Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Is Recorded with the NH BOP as thePharmacist in Charge for this pharmacy.
Work with Manager to recruit qualified staff.
Assess competency of staff to practice in the sterile product preparation areas.
Evaluate and provide feedback to employees working in the DH Nashua Infusion Pharmacy.
Implement and maintain USP Chapter 797 and oversee compliance.
Provide for pharmacist and technician training with regard to sterile product compounding.
Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Assist with implementation of automation.
Maintain adequate drug inventory.
Work with the pharmacy buyer to guide product selection.
Work collaboratively with finance to report monthly expenses.
Serve as a resource to the DH Nashua and Norris Cotton Cancer Center employees.
Participate in the following committees: Hem/Onc P&T subcommittee, P&T Smart Pump Drug Library, Medication Safety committee, Local Manager/Supervisor meetings, and others as requested.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduate of an APCE accredited school of Pharmacy with a minimum of 3 years of health system experience, including sterile product compounding. Oncology experience preferred. A current NH BOP licensure required. Must have demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, with the ability to set priorities and make critical decisions. Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated interpersonal and team skills are essential.
