          Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Occupational &Environmental Medicine Department is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support Occupational Medicine expansion at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua.

          This dynamic position involves hands on clinical management and patient teaching in a new state-of-the-art ambulatory facility. Clinical Occupational Medicine includes assessing and managing the employee health care needs of Dartmouth Hitchcock as well as community employers. This provider works as part of the clinical team providing urgent and routine care to patients. Occupational Medicine offers a distinctive and collegial team to work with in a patient centered environment.

          Summary:Under the general direction of the Department Chair and Department Supervisor, the Physician Assistant works autonomously as well as in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare colleagues to provide quality occupational health care. The provider will join a growing practice designed to meet the occupational and environmental health needs of patients, employees, employers and referring providers. In addition to assessing patient care issues and providing medical assessments of work related injury and illness the provider will oversee programs such as communicable disease surveillance and blood borne pathogen exposure follow up. Emphasis is placed on health promotion and injury and disease prevention.

          Minimum Education and Experience: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program; NCCPA certification; PA licensed or eligible in the State of New Hampshire; DEA license. Experience in occupational/ employee health, orthopedic or outpatient setting is preferred.
